The rise of Satanic references in goth fashion as led to its association of evil and people fear the members of the subculture. Goths are now discriminated against and even TV began to take notice. Shows like the new “Charmed” dressed demons in traditional Goth clothing.
It makes the subculture less appealing and members looking for new alternatives so Nugoth is a great alternative.
Nu-Goth pairs down traditional goth by combining with classic, 90’s punk and of course, a lot of Black.
Overtones of witchcore exists with wide brim hats and witchy graphics like moon glyphs, cat faces and crosses.
As for metal embellishments, grommets and heavy rings replace the spikes of traditional goth. However, these embellishments are just as heavily used.
Since wearing black remains the sole look of Nugoth, the look is work friendly and extremely flexible. Dress, skirts, pants and jumpsuits can be worn.
Shoes are usually chunky soled, either boots or mary janes. Check out other alternative style blogs here
