Capes have finally made the trip from winter chic to Spring must have and we have the deets on how to rock the trend.

It’s always hard adding a new piece to your wardrobe so we always love to highlight ways to buy, wear or ditch a trend.
Not everyone can rock a cape but if you are not timid or super casual (i.e. live in sweats) then these looks are worth a try.
Causal Capes
Courtesy of Akira (no longer in stock) – Choosing fabric that’s a staple in your closet can make adding a new piece easier.
If you love a casual vibe and want to dress up just a little, we recommend an all denim or sweats vibe. The effect would be causal chic.
Boho or Witchy capes

Stye reference: Kiki Riki (witchy) Free People (boho)
For a great alternative to DollsKill and still priced well, we love Kiki Riki’s sheer capes for witchy vibes.
The cape gives a goth or witchcore vibe to any outfit. Plus it can be paired with a dress or separates!
Classic Cape
COS Wool Mix Blend Hood, $139
As for the classic either choose one that is for the more streamlined look (shown above) and the other can be for a more country vibe (looks like a scarf).
Be careful not to confuse a cape with a poncho which are both similar in style. A poncho does not have arm holes and can resemble a blanket in structure.
Happy Hump Day,
